About TEISHA ROSE
BBus (Management) BArts (Psychology) BSW (Social Work)
After completing university Teisha started her career at Telstra, working in various training and development roles. However life took an unexpected turn, and in 1997 aged 22 years, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
For a number of years Teisha's life was dominated by her condition. Physically she was experiencing many aggressive relapses - hospital and rehab became a revolving door. Teisha feared an unknown future...
Yet MS instigated unforeseen life changes. Teisha returned to university and gained a social work degree. She worked with families at The Salvation Army, and then clients experiencing homelessness in central Victoria.
And Teisha has continued her work with not for profits in her role at R2L & Associates, a boutique marketing and communications agency
In recent years Teisha has also established Lives Interrupted, sharing her personal story and insights through writing her book 'Life Interrupted', publishing blogs, presenting, speaking and facilitating training sessions (visit Services for more info).
It is Teisha's hope that she can continue sharing her insights to impart confidence that moving forward beyond a hurdle is possible.
SOME KIND WORDS...
"Teisha, to me, is one of those everyday heroes that has not allowed extremely difficult circumstances to rob her of living life to the full and being fully present. She is a huge source of inspiration to so many around her. There are so many lessons we can learn from her story, perhaps most importantly, that our often interrupted lives and the hurdles we face can lead us to hope and a new beginning."
